ABOUT MELISSA EMERSON

Committed to Helping Ventura County Residents Obtain Justice

Melissa is an Associate Attorney at Westlake Injury Law, specializing in the areas of auto collisions, motorcycle and trucking accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, and civil rights. With a passion for justice and sincere empathy for others, Melissa is a fearless litigator who is not afraid to take difficult and unique cases.

Fighting for Clients at Westlake Injury Law

Melissa began working for Westlake Injury Law as a Law Clerk while completing her Juris Doctorate. Melissa immediately proved herself a tremendous asset to the team and our clients with her razor-sharp legal analysis and writing and her fierce advocacy.  Since obtaining her license, Melissa has continued to fight for her clients and has obtained incredible results and millions of dollars for those who have been injured and families who have lost loved ones.

A History of Service

Prior to Westlake Injury Law, Melissa was a 911 Dispatcher for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. Melissa approaches her clients at Westlake Injury Law the same way she did as a 911 Dispatcher—with empathy, compassion, urgency, and a need to serve those who have been wronged. Melissa is licensed to practice in California state courts, and the federal district court in the Central District of California. She is also an active member of several bar associations. Melissa is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, the Ventura County Bar Association, the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association, and the Women Lawyers of Ventura County. While not at work, Melissa spends her free time traveling, attending live sporting events (go Dodgers!), working out, and spending time with her partner and cat.
